I must admit that I'm not a Stargate watcher, but I've seen just about every advert for it EVER on Sky One while waiting for other programs to start, so I found it very funny.

^ I loved that bit, because I'm so the same! Spares can marry the ugliest person they want, but I'm not having any legacy main family spawn looking like they've been hit by a bus!

Hey guys. I'm sorry for not commenting. I just want to say thanks to you all for your awesome comments. I'm happy to see that people find me amusing.

Anyway, I have actually buckled down and got to updating my story. I am a Total Slacker I hope you all enjoy it. I have 4 more chapters lined up, just waiting to be typed out, so hopefully I can get those out relatively soon.

Loved the chapter, you are a hiliarious writer, I don't know how you keep it up! It was a brilliant chapter, I loved every bit.

Ahhh, hate cookies. It's a long running joke in my group of friends. At first it was just hate cookies...then disdain frosting got added. The full quote goes: Disdain is the frosting on the cookie of hate. Of course, this gets followed up by eating cookies like ginger bread men and making them scream when they are being chewed.

But we are all normal, regular people. Seriously

I'm glad you enjoyed it. Now to start typing the next chapter. /slacker

*edit* And if for some reason people want to download my sims, Ansley, Lillian, Sebastian, Aylee, SimMe and SimKeith are all on my Sim Page ready for download. They are all CC and Default free, but Nouk Sims provides most of the hairstyles the characters wear in the story. Let me know if you are using them so I can see them in the multi-verse!

This is a great legacy, I love all the geeky references.

I like that you did something different with the founder who doesn't lik you or want to be in a legacy, I was prepared for it to be the same old cliche but it wasn't. The plot you've got going on is interesting and I'm looking forward to finding out where you're going to take it.

Also, this:

It's the look that every LARPer has expressed after going on a Let's Go Play with Liches mod.
It's the look that every MMORPG gamer has expressed when their raid wipes terribly.
It's the look that every D&D player has expressed when Bob the Pyro Fireballs the party, killing everyone (by accident, he insists).

Reminds me far too much of some of the parties I've roleplayed with (one of my characters really did have a fireball dropped on her head by the party's mage, twice, he didn't get any healing after that).

And every instance I stated with LAPRing and D&D...actually DID happen. My husband (KeithSim) always plays a version of the name "Bob" in some form or another, and he DID fireball the entire party once, wiping us all out. He "panicked" you see. A new campaign needed to be started. We were 9th level too

As usual, any comments and feedback is always appreciated. Oh and please rate it on the exchange. A bunch of my stuff got culled (none of my stories, thank Jeebus) but all of my uploaded Sims, including Lillian, who for some reason as downloaded almost 100 times (which is surprising seeing as I know I don't have a huge audience) and was rated at 5 stars.

And on that note, if anybody want to use any of my sims, including a Simself version of me and my husband, please let me know either here or P.M. I'm not going to the trouble of uploading them again if they are just going to get culled again.

so i only meant to read the first chapter of this... that was like over an hour ago. this is such a fantastic legacy!

i've loved everything from the very beginning (josh was such a card and the stargate references had me rolling on the floor), all the way to this last cliffy.

your characters are so vibrant and full of depth. and i like that you seem to be working around the sims true personalities instead of inventing them on your own. i absolutely LOVE Sebastian. i want my simme to leave her husband and two kids to marry him. honestly, he rocks! and i felt so bad for hunter being married to the ice maiden. don't get me wrong, i love ansley as well but d@mn that girl COLD it was really cool to see the realization of her neglect smack in the face so realisically.

i like the originality of this. the narrative is awesome and it's such an enjoyable read. i love that josh wanted to be evil but only succeeded in being mildly annoying. and his poor long suffering wife kelly. they may not have made the "cool kids club" but i loved them and mourned them greatly. they were awesome founders. i love that i never saw lillian becoming a witch. and being disowned in the process. i love being genuinely surprised. and that this is fantastically written is such a bonus. i don't think i stopped smiling the entire i was reading. you aren't the only one getting strange looks from your husband as you cackle at the computer screen.

please, keep up the great work and i am fondly looking forward to the next installment.

hello, me again. i've been thinking. i would really love it if i could steal your sebastian for my legacy. after a bit of obsession, i thought of a way for my simself to have a romantic trist with him, without cheating on my simhusband or abandoning my simchildren. *squee* so if wouldn't mind very much, sacrificing him to the simself gods, i'd much appreciate it.

Without being too spoiler-y, but I'll still put it in here, if you like seeing Sebastian, then you're going to like the next few chapters. I'm beginning to slow down with my playing as I am running out of pictures that I shot two months ago and well, and Sebastian as the new heir...means lots of plot stuff. After the next chapter (currently still being written) I'm out of shots and then I can actually move forward and not have my main house age so fast so I can establish him even further. *squee* I'm so glad someone likes my boy there. I like him too, that's why I made him heir instead of Lillian. The girl NEVER smiled, just glared. Her deciding to be a witch and being disowned was something I did on the fly (shhhh), but it worked. I had vague plans for a villain, and though Lillian came up sooner than I expected, I was glad she stepped up to the plate

And funny you should mention the entire writing their own personalities...Sebastian is actually far more outgoing than I write him (he's a finger gunner). But I figured that it would be far more surpressed with a demanding sister and neglectful parents. Again, I had planned on Lillian inheriting until I saw that she never smiled, so Sebastian inheriting was just as much of a surprise to me, and now I am playing catch up in establishing him as a main character instead of a minor one.

Onto downloading Sebastian. Bodyshop keeps crashing on me (which is not a good sign), and literally the exchange just culled him a few days ago, and now I am unable to export him in proper paper doll form. So, I remade him in a different neighborhood on an empty lot. Soooo, I think how this would work would be for you to download the lot he's on which should import him into your game. Then delete him and the lot. His paper doll should then be in CAS (I hope).

so i've created and uploaded the younger version of my simself, kitty. she's 10 years younger than liz, single and has a quite different outlook on life. she has a jones for geeky boys with glasses and she's not as settled nor as cynical. she represents my non judgemental phase that lasted throughout college. kitty. she's packaged with a default replacement skintone found here: skin. kitty wears the dark, pixie hush. they're replacements but there's also a link on that page to the regular versions of those skins if you don't want to use replacements. what else? kitty's info is there on her page. you can obviously change her turn ons to match lovely sebastian. not that you'll need to i think.
anyway, she's far more appropriate for sebby being closer to his age and well... not married. do have fun with her. oh yeah, thanks for uploading sebastian. i'll let you know when i've posted my next update with him in it. i cant wait to get him decked out in my hood. shacked up with kitty of course.

Haven't signed this yet, have I? Well, I've been reading along and enjoying it.

I very much like Sebastian and I think he'll make a good heir. He's quiet, with a lot of potential. Villains just come along when they come along, don't they? As for Romance Sims, I find that they often make excellent parents, much better than they are often given credit for.

Anyway, it's nice work and all the better for being distinctively yours. Also, a lot of people have started putting their sims into .zip files and uploading them on free services like 4shared or box.net. That way, they can't get culled.

I do feel so much more confident about this story than I did about my original one, and making it distinctively mine is probably that cause of it. Closed borders for my sim world (at least on camera) will be the best route. Though your boy, in particular, is quite the Social Sally and makes it hard for me to shoot some of my stuff, but I keep him around to play with when I don't feel like writing. (BTW, ACR in his house? *shudder* I had to turn it off. Disturbing.) Thank you so much for your advice that you gave me when I first started I am glad you are actually enjoying my stuff, and yes, I am such a squee person. Don't judge me!

And, how would I be able to extract my sims into .zip files? I can't open Body Shop. It keeps crashing, saying that the application has terminated. I deleted the files I was supposed to (*gasp* the BBS actually has some advice there) but it still crashes. I am really dreading the implications, but at least I have a backup of my neighborhood in case I have to do a complete reinstall.

/sigh If people want my sims, I might have to do what Mac users to to extract and ask a very kind soul to do it for me, however that's done. Thankfully, only one person wanted Sebastian so far.

Anyway, thanks again for commenting, and I hope that you'll continue to like what I have in the future.

I've just caught up on this legacy, and I'm kicking myself for not getting around to it sooner, as it's brilliant! Humour, great narrative style, and I love the banter between sim-you and your sim-husband. In general, I love it!
