Howdy all. New college chapter up 9/7/09!

Prologue

The rules I'm using are posted here (part 1) and here (part 2) for reference.

Edited to add:
I do intend to go through with this as a Legacy for points rather than a stand-alone Apoc. I've added a couple of handicaps plus one non-Legacy rule. The handicaps I'm trying are Free Roaming Ghosts (ghosts always must be able to freely roam the lot), True Love (reproduction is limited to 3-bolt partnerships), and One Way Street (aspiration reward Elixir may not be used). That's a total of 10 handicap points with the Apoc. The non-legacy rule is simple: only certain townies may join the Humble family. You'll see what I mean by "certain townies" soon enough.

I LOVE IT. <3 It is SO nice to see you back with a new Apoc! I really miss the Chocolates and am sorry they won't be back, but I'm stoked to see a new story from you. And Mr. Humble is such an appropriate founder. I wonder if he will ever meet himself...

Nope, not from SimPE. I think he maybe counts as an object like Mrs. Crumplebottom or something, because I couldn't find him in SimPE. So I just took a bunch of screenshots of his face from different angles and recreated him in Bodyshop.

Although I feel that Rod Humble's appearance is ridiculous, the free computer he gives is pretty useful for a legacy founder, as you save $1000! Not worth putting that guy in an Apocalypse! I guess you had worse situations with him. How did you even extract him anyways? And he's an adult, why is he in college?

Oh I loved it! Your way of writing, the suspense of the spouse... me want MOAR!! I really loved the build up to the apocalypse, and it was an interesting way of telling it too. A plague of flu? Wow, I would have never thought of that!

I can't wait for the apocalypse to really begin!

Hi! Thanks so much for commenting. Yup, ex-playables are the potential spouses. It's actually not a *real* megahood, just a blank custom one with townified CAS versions of Maxis premades. Mystery fiancée is a mystery ...but not a VERY mysterious one.

Thanks for taking the time to read. I chose Mr. Humble for my founder for a few of reasons. For one, I do find him annoying because I feel that my Sims should earn their possessions-- no freebies in my game! This is especially important for Apoc players. But he's not too much of an annoyance now that I have Pescado's hack that allows the player to choose whether or not to accept his gift. Additionally, I wanted my founder to be a Sim that most players will recognize. Since Mr. Humble's computer, with its special copy of TS3, is basically the harbinger of doom for the TS2 Sims that receive it, I thought it would be appropriate to have Mr. Humble experience a very special TS2 challenge. Since he's not extractable in SimPE (at least, not that I could find), I took a bunch of screenshots of his face and whipped up a lookalike in Bodyshop.

Glad you liked it so much! The funny thing about the flu is that I actually DID have a pretty bad epidemic going through the dormies. Someone knocked over a trashcan and someone else stomped on the roaches in their bare feet and then after that there was no escaping it.
