Had the first one in tonight's play session--a boy they named Caleb (following in the Biblical theme that Jebidiah's name has). I'll do the story up tomorrow. Being in a rich sim's house has it's pitfalls. One is not having the right space for kid things. I'm going to have to rebuild...or build a new place and have them move into it.

Well, I have just posted the next installment of my first attempt at a legacy. Margie Kendrick married a rich doctor and immediately moved into his mansion. Being a doctor's wife required a lot of sacrifice. She quit her job and changed her look. She learned the dreaded "Fried Chicken Offensive" chess maneuver from her husband...and oh yeah, became pregnant. A spa trip was in order. Go and check it out.

After checking out a few people's legacies in Livejournal, I'm thinking of posting mine there. I really noticed the poor quality of images in the story creator. I have my graphics high and I want the quality to be reflected in my stories.

I have decided not to use live journal after all. What I DO like about the create a story in Sims 3 is how easy it is to put the stories together. Maybe I'm dumb, but LJ is complicated. I need a tutorial on how to do Sim Legacies using LJ.

It's really easy to do on lj. First you need to have your pictures hosted at photobucket or tinypic-I use photobucket. Then once you are on lj-sign in and then go to journal and hit new entry/post-put your pictures in and you can preview them before you post-there's a little button on the bottom. You may also use lj cuts. Really easy too. Put your first picture as your cover picture then write <lj-cut text= whatever here> and then at the end put </lj-cut> It just hides it for your friends. It took me awhile to know about it too. Hope that helps and I will read yours later too okay!

Here's the latest chapter in the Kendrick Legacy. I will be moving the second generation stories to LJ or Wordpress. I haven't decided which yet. I will have the last chapter in the first generation done tomorrow followed by a heir poll. I'm excited to be starting to focus on the kids.

I posted new pictures on the poll page. Each of Margie's kids is represented at their current age. The only one I couldn't get a good shot of is Hannah, but the rest turned out pretty good.

I just started reading this and will definitely be back for more. Did Jeb really tell Margie it was too soon to get married in the beginning? That's hilarious! I haven't had that yet but I'm sure I will eventually.

Well, that was a bit of storytelling on my part. What he said was no, but he didn't break off their going steady relationship so I assumed he meant just not right now. Well, and he hadn't told her he was rich yet, either, so I told the story that she found out about the house he owned and was definitely sure she wanted to marry him.

Ah, so that's not really possible. It seemed realistic. I read couple more chapters just now. I like how the two sons have one of the same traits and Jacob is a genius like both of his parents. It seems suiting that sims in the same family would have similar traits.

I do have one comment about your photos. They seem rather small and far away. Did you know if you hit tab and then z you can zoom in on the sims you're taking a picture of? I personally love close ups so you can get a better idea of the sims facial features or the design of a portrait they're painting. Other then that, it seems you're off to a great start!

Edit: When you're in tab mode the letter c will allow you to snap the picture when you're zoomed in.

I know about it now I didn't at first when I started doing this story. The updates on the blog site in my sig show a much improved photo taking style from me.

I have a question, if anyone reads this and has a thought...

I was messing around with the building tools and built a nice, huge house on the lot that is supposed to be for legacies. I didn't know about the lot requirement when I started, so I hadn't started there. I broke several of the official rules, but I didn't want to start over. ANYWAY, my question is this: Should I move my family into the new lot?

I was debating some scenarios:

1. Move into the new lot with the next heir leaving the last heir and his spouse and the other children at the old lot (I'd have to destroy my creation there, but I could build something within my heir's budget...thus sort of fulfilling the poverty rule (well, not really, but at least making a new start anyway)

2. Move everyone in the household to the new lot and abandoning the old one completely. I would keep the monstrous mansion I built there already because my family has the funds to afford it.

3. Forget the whole move thing and keep living where I'm living now.

What do you think?

Nice update. You sure have a houseful! Regarding the move...I'd just pack up and move the whole household. You'll really like having the larger lot, especially with larger families.
